About Us

Jessie & The Veil are a folk-rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Their work blends the storytelling aspect of folk music with the emotional intensity and theatricality of artists like Kate Bush, Florence & The Machine, and The Cranberries.

Fronted by singer-songwriter, Jessie Dingle - who has performed both solo and with her band, at venues such as Whelans Main Stage, Belfast's Áras Mhic Reachtain and Dun Laoghaire's Pavilion Theatre - the group composes music in Irish and in English, combining an ethereal sound with a dynamic, contemporary edge. Formed through Jessie's collaboration with an exceptional group of musicians - Lennon Connolly, Jack Farrell, Aidan Clair and Declan McCabe - the band has developed a sound that is at once ethereal and grounded, fusing elements from Irish Traditional music with a bold, contemporary edge. Currently, Jessie & The Veil are preparing to release their first single, 'An Bhfuil Tú i nGrá Léi?', and are currently gigging in Dublin promoting its release. Recently, they played at The Sound House, The Grand Social and Fibber Magees in Dublin, and they also played a one-hour extended set at Electric Picnic in August.
